{VINTAGE COUCH JUNKYARD FIND}

Take a look at my new junkyard beauty. This lovely lady is going to be my summer project. GET THIS THOUGH. I went to the bottle depot that day to return my bottles-then we went to the salvage yard and saw this they suggest you leave a donation so for what I got back form recycling I got this couch a chair and two vintage suitcases- I LOVE UPCYCLING! What goes around comes around. Can't you just imagine this with black and white damask! I can't wait to get started!- Ill post pics of the chair and suitcases later! Thanks Keshia for letting me borrow your truck  talking me into it-and helping me tie it with awesome rope :) LOVE THE SALVAGE YARD!

{Old things made new}

Ok- I really am Kind've into vintage stuff latley thanks to my friend keisha-I was trying to think of what to finish my boys room in and when I saw what she did with her kids rooms I adored them-so I took some pictures of her creativness to share..my fav's include..the dress form-hanging one of Livies dresses as art-an old window with cardboard glue gunned to the bottom and minitures on the top-the old mirror we found a couple weeks ago- it was from an 80 year old ladies house- cool eh- I love things with stories behind them and I think stuff you put on your walls should tell a story. I love nixons crib its so old and spindilie- and I love the color. The old hand mirror and brush set put a bit of glam into the room and I love the old baseballs and toy indians and soldiers on nixons shelf. The white dresser keisha is going to revamp with new hardwear and some moldings- I can't wait to see what she does with it.

We're going to the salvage yard next week to look for old numbers for my walls for my guest bedroom I'm doing in yellow and brown- heres the inspiration picture... anyone else want to come?

So Keisha and I went shopping again... I know it should be outlawed were not good for each others addiction. But here are a couple things we really liked- We went to a new place this time-one we found last time but they were closed.I really wanted the settee - I wanted to get it and paint it black and reupholster the red in white for a very baroque feel. -loved the old sewing machine- mosty for its color- the hand mink thing was awesome-loved the 80s chairs-and flapper hat- I also found a white felt hat I wanted to get but it was a little girl size one :(- really it was so cute!-anyways it was lots of fun-our kiddos and all- both of us with our double strollers-WATCH OUT- we're crazy shoppers! Nothing will stop us!

An old esso can-I'm using it as a garbage can for my boys room- I love that It's from an oil company -cause it can remind them of there dad and grandpa who used to work there.

old liscense plates- we found some from 1918- that wre amazing but like 150 bucks- still they were really cool- I guess thats a trip for the salvage yard did I mention I had a blast

{I had so much fun today- I can hardly contain my excitement we were all jumping off the walls and screaming each others names come look at this ooohhh awwwww. I can't wait to go again!-I spotted an old barn door I loved! and some 80's chairs. Always go shopping with Keisha! except that its dangerous}

{Our trip} p.s I found a vintage store

For our little Trip we went to Utah this week to suprise my sister for her 18th birthday- she hasnt seen the boys in 7 months. We left at 7 pm and drove to Great Falls Montana- may I just say we stayed at the most awesome little hotel in Montana- the pool was open till midnight and they had a hot tub- so we put the boys to bed and went to the hot tub it was so nice and quiet and so fun to just be with my brandon. We woke up early and drove to Idaho Brandons Granparents and family live in Terraton Idaho about 15minutes outside of Rexburg. She made homemade noodles- a family fav dish for us- I felt spoiled shes an amazing cook and I adore soup. They played with the boys and the boys were greatful to wiggle again- then we headed down to utah- the last hour in the car was a little brutal they did not like being in the car so long- despite the great amounts of crackers toys bottles pre prepaired changing them on the seat of the car at pit stops and random desert patches.

Well it was worth it we put the toys on my fams fron porch with a sign saying happy b day auunt ketty and ran she opened the door and screamed sooo cute! We took her to a spa for her b day and me and my sisters and mom had a room to ourself and we got pedicures and then sat in a relaxation room where they served us lunch and sparkling cider- it was heaven they sat us in a room with a waterfal and we all just crashed while mom got a facial and ketty got a massage cacia and I just talked about life- it was really cool.

We went shopping and I found this awesome jean store called skinz. Ketty and I now have matching jeans. AND I FOUND A VINTAGE STORE! In ogden theres a place on 25th street called vintage village- and it was cool I almost bought a chair that wouldve been really cool to reupholster but our car is too tiny to bring it home they also had an old brush and mirror some amazing felt hats and some old boards and signs i thought were cool- I wish it was in calgary! Cause it was pretty cheap. If you live there I highly reccomend checking it out! Went to Target it was heaven- and zurchers my party supply mecca-also heaven and got some stuff for some events I have soming up- oh how I wish it was closer! Jamba was awesome -Vanilla coke was awesome-seeing my grandpa and aunt was awesome.- Lots of thing I really miss.

We went to dinner after and then to a hotel in downtown slc called the sheraton- it was mega cool with new renovations -as youll see from the pics it was a neat place to stay- We had fun with our new matching jammies and got slap happy taking fun pictures-wait till you see the ones of us flying across the room- my mom has those ones-oh and I loved how they folded the toilet paper- I do it in my own house when guests come. AM I NOT WEIRD? But I like seeing new ways that people do it- I know its crazy but i see the little things and really appreciate them. I got to see my Stephanie and her baby ethan- whos the same age as the boys and she brought becky over- it was fun to see my old friends! We payed wii talked laughed and enjoyed watching my family ooze over the boys- it was so neat to see them giggle together and dance with them when the theme song for big bang theory came on. Theres so much love in our family. I feel bad they don't get that all the time. I'm so greatful for my parents for the awesome week.

My car- my little black rav- with rhiannas disturbia turned up full blast singing at the top of my lungs with sunglasses on. People there is no better feeling!!! Yes I am one of those annoying people with their music really loud and their sunglasses on. OHHH my ultimate dream would be to do that in a red convertible!

my favorite space -dining space and downstairs- im working on the upstairs right now. These are my all time favorite shoes I wear them all the time- even when I was 9 months pregnant I know im crazy
