happy baking..

I love love love to bake and make pastry's. I like to cook but not as much as I love to bake. It's usually my sunday thing to do- make a desert and give it to someone. Today I made valentine cupcakes dipped in coconut powdered sugr sugar crystals and sprinkles- frosting is buttercream in 3 colors and the cake is french vanilla. Theres nothing that I think is funner than decorating cupcakkes and cookies- in fact I was too excited to do it I didnt let them cool properly thats why they are a little melty- but mmm it makes them look tasty. I do love to cook with themes too. We're going to Nielsens for dinner tonight I'm super excited for nummy food. and cupcakes :) oH AND THERE DOING A WHOLE WEEK ON CUPCAKES WITH MARTHA STEWARTS SHOW! How exciting- so tune into that- also if you want an awesome cupcake blog to read add cupcakes take the cake to your reader- it makes me happy every day.

suprise visit!

My mom and dad drove up from utah to suprise me for the weekend- I had a rough week last week and I think they could tell. It was so nice to just have them around my house. An extra pair of hands goes a long way. They helped me get so much done that I don't think I could've done alone. I'm greatful for their love and that my dad is so handy and my mom is such a great cook/cleaner. Nothing makes me feel more loved than when someone cleans for me- I know I'm weird. We went swimming at southland leisure center with them- wow my boys love the water- literally shaking they were so excited to get in the waves. Brandon and I are thinking we'll do a beach party for their first birthday because they love the water so much. Now I'm excited to play with this theme. look at these awesome cupcakes! We'll see what crazy things I can find. Oh and I'm on the enrichment comittee- YAY!!!!!!! SOOO EXCITED my brain is already twirling with excitedness.

This is so adorable! I might have to bake today :) Poor Brandon having to put up with my girly finds on our blog- I'm thinking about starting another blog on the creative inspirations I find and the projects I do. A couple people have asked me about this and it's peaked my interest enough to think about it. I'm thinking of having other creative ladies contribute. Anyone interested? Ideas for a name?

But I know I know I would eat it and cheat- so I guess staring and drooling at the pictures will have to do. Its been hard for me to not bake this year I really enjoy it. So my goal- If I get under 140 this week I'll bake fudge or dip chocolate strawberries. Don't these pictures look good I hate when commercials are on tv for the good stuff like pillsbury choc chip cookies that rise in the oven- it's like torcher! I'm craving chocolate coconut latley like a mad woman- that and chocolate mint mmmmm.
