I think my family and Friends know my favorite flower...

Yep I'm a tulip fan! They were bunched tightly in a round bouquet for my wedding and they remind me of spring which is my favorite season. I also love the simple clean lines to their shape. Tulips also keep growing after they've been cut. Kind've means something close to my heart. My fam and best friends all got me tulip bunches when chloe' was born. And they have been so gorgeous and fresh to have in my house! I love my family! I strategically placed them in places where if it was a hard night I could look over at them and not get so frustrated with screaming kids, or hurting incision or back pain. There is really nothing that brightens my mood than fresh flowers. I love them in my house and try to get them every chance I can.
Can't wait to start gardening! And defiantly can't wait for spring time at the farmers market!

Modern Christmas Floral Arrangements

These are the flowers Chelsea Carter and I did for stake conference. I wanted to have something christmasy without it being overly christmas-so I went with lime green bright red lots of texturie spiky stuff and greenery that isn't wintery. I think they turned beautiful and different than the norm. I think my fav are the red orchids and bells or ireland. Theres nothing I love more than fresh florals. They make me so happy inside.

Which would you like to make more?

These would both be out of fresh greens like cedar and magnolia-maybe some holly and eucalyptus would you rather make a wreath, centerpiece or an urn?

And if you were to make the urn- would you have your own planter or would you like it supplied?

Poll is in the sidebar :) Thanks this will help with which direction I want to go for super saturday!

{amazing succulents}

SOOO AMAZINGLY COOL ARE THEY NOT? Keisha and I took our kids to the Saskatoon berry farm yesterday. It was so nice to get outside and enjoy the warm weather with a great friend. I love when you can feel sunbeams on your face. And life just seems to catch you up in the moment. I've been looking for something cool to put in my front planters- and I saw these succulents and was in such awe of how intricate nature can be and how soft their texture was. They were perfect. So there was my treasure for the day! The boys enjoyed looking at the sheep and I think they liked how warm it was being outside. As we were driving out there all I could see was field- such a difference form calgary and it made me miss idaho. I wanted so badly to stop the car and go run as fast as I could through the field.  It was fun to sing with Liv in the car. Never have I sung the abcs more in my life. Made me smile inside. Also it was so cute to watch all 4 of our kids conked out at the end sleeping in their car seats. Pretty sweet. What amazing day. I highly recommend going there for a nice fresh outing- they have some unique things I love it there.

6-Just a funcky green and white floral arrangment

Now go vote on the poll
Also if you went to a baby shower and were
excited to see some type of

Food is hard for me.

{WOW this is post 200- and ...The Valentines Party}

The girlies Angie Sara Melanie Me and Keisha- Allison had to leave early :(

Brandon Nick Denton and Aaron How did I miss Jordan and steve Left with my allison friend :(

I did a naughty or nice bar- diet coke coke dr pepper and schiblee on one side water and juice on the other- the sign is not the greatest but I literally had 2 minutes to make it. and again I forgot to take a picture of the whole drink thing which I thought I did- oh well it was one of my favorite parts

Paper lanterns are a great way to add whimsy and color- I think lighting is huge! when planning an event.

Layout of the appetizer bar-scrapbook paper beneath black chargers with square white plates on top- i labeled the foods with a valentine theme-{hot wings} aphrodesiac for strawberries in chocolate cupids fav was spinach rolls and {good for the heart was veggies} Everyone else brought desserts which we put on the other table- yay for good food!

Bar with the food on them now- sorry you cant see a close up pf the tags/labels- I get crazy at the end of setting stuff up i forget to take some pictures that I wanted to.

One of my favorites was this arrangments out of straight carnations- yes they are tacky and ugly when put with roses but bunched together with just carnations they can be modern and cool especially if you wrap them tight like a bridal bouquet- I was going to wrap the bottom with ribbon but ran out of time- and.. carnations are cheap- great pretty centerpiece for literally under 10 bucks- to make it a little funcky i just took some stems that i cut and stuck them out of the top like chopsticks

The favor and game table almost all set up- boys got kissing gum and a cookie

Girls favors were little bouquets you cant see it but i took spiky red grass and wove them into loops around each other and on the inside of the vase took a leaf and wrapped it around the glass- who dosnt love getting flowers! and I have this thing against roses- I figure there are so many other beautiful flowers in the world why not celebrate them- dont get me wrong roses can be beautiful there just not my cup of tea

These lanterns fit over my light fixtures- cool eh! If I wouldve had more time I wouldve grouped a bunch together and hung them from my entry way light fixture.

Why I love neutral decor- ...all you have to dois add accesscories with color red works with a lot of holidays x mas canada day 4th of july valentines- latin themes italian themes birthdays that arnt gender specific- thats why I have red- but its so easy to just wrap a shiny napkin around a pillow for a party to make them look like they match!and wrap ribbon around your lamp shades/candles those pink sticks were so cheap at Target- I just added them to my brown sticks- I dint take a picture but I put some of the pink ones into my urns outside and hung laterns from them.- its all about accesscories

before the color...-oh an my soap is in an oil/viniger holder and I change it according to the party colors I have at my house.-also it wouldve been fun to add colored hearts or wrapping paper to the frames in the back but I ran out of time. I had so much fun doing this little game night. It was great to meet new friends and get to know some people better. I laughed a lot last night and was greatful for a night out with friends. I can't wait for Brookes baby shower- I'm almost done with the invitations.
